Horrific Storm Damage in Sweden

An article published here got me into thinking how fortunate we all are by having a lot of commodities at hand.

With all the news on TV lately about the extreme weather conditions affecting the East Coast of the US, the mud slides in the Middle East and South America, the flood that made it’s mark on Southern England, along with the dire predictions made by such films as The Day After Tomorrow, we shouldn’t forget that Sweden has its share of devastating weather too.

I’ve attached a photo illustrating the damage caused to my home from a storm that passed through the south of Sweden last week. It really makes you cherish what you have, and reminds us not to take things for granted!

  • Hey Rolando — that link to the picture doesn’t work. A blank page simply pops up.

And I really hope that I haven’t missed some joke and that this is some sort of stupidity on my part…

  • Ahh, perhaps the server went down. But it was a very, very disturbing picture. I’ll host it locally to make sure it doesn’t go down again. Thanks for the notice.

  • GASP!!!!

Egads, that’s, um, terrible. I cannot even fathom that kind of damage. We’ve had the remnants of 4 hurricanes come through North Georgia, and nothing has even come close to that kind of damage.

    My gosh, man!

    The horror, the horror.

  • loOooOol nice one maybe I should call 911?

update: I called 911, but that number does not exist here in belgium… lol
