weee, particles

I’d like to point out a fun little program that allows you to play with as much as 10,000 particles. (You can use your mouse to make them follow you, or let there be a particle that is the leader and every other follows it, or various leaders). The varying degrees of interactivity and different resolutions made this “oldie” a cool app to remember.

ParticleToy is a little Freeware software toy from Longbow Digital Arts.
Feel free to distribute it far and wide! Give it to your friends, etc.

In the current version the number of particles is capped at 10,000. A
Pentium-II 400 can handle this with ease, so perhaps I’ll up the limit
in a future version. The Escape key (when the main window is selected,
or in full screen mode) will quit, and the F-12 key switches between
windowed and full screen modes.

If you like ParticleToy, drop by our web site some time at:

You can send bugs, suggestions, compliments, hate mail, (but no spam
please) to me (Seumas McNally, the author) at:

And yes, I do plan on making this into a Screen Saver at some point!
