Hello my fellow readers. I wanted to point out a great article written by Lou Whitmire, called “From Iraq, with love. It’s about a man who got his two-week leave from Iraq, and came back home to celebrate his 15th wedding anniversary with his wife.

What a great, happy moment for the couple. I’m glad they get to spend good moments together.
I must admit that I feel sorry for all the people that have to waste their time in Iraq, when they could be spending what could be precious moments learning or working for a better tomorrow.
I know that war and other intimidating events will always create a gloomy sensation among everyone… and they are right to feel that way: we are only scared of the things we can do to those of our own kind. I beleive the U.S. is wasting money irresponsibly.
For instance… take the 277 jets (or so)… the F/A-22 Raptor which cost around 258 million dollars to build, each.

The US Government could’ve spent that money in better things:
1) Protecting their ‘human assets’ down there walking at ground level.
2) Help unemployed people,… or better yet the sick and homeless.
3)
4) Buying me new PC, car, etc.
Well, enough complaining about the things I think are wrong. I would appreciate it if any readers or passers-by left your ideas by leaving a comment.
Posting as ‘anonymous’ cuz I lost the email you sent me with the sign in info.
However,Rolando, I concur with you on the Iraqi situation 100 percent. A lot (understatement) of money and human life is being wasted in Dubya’s quest to impose his absentee rule on the Middle East. And I know I’m far from the first one to imagine that oil has a lot to do with it and not terrorism or WOMD.
But don’t forget that the majority of Americans just re–elected Mr. George Dubya to the White House and so that begs the question,”Are the American people really so innocent?” Also, don’t forget that waging wars also creates lots of jobs and government contracts for the armaments industry. And jobs + a strong war economy = votes. So, unfortunately, unless there’s a huge backlash from the American voters, I’m afraid that we’re not going to see Bush pull American troops out of Iraq any time soon. There’s more at stake here than one man’s megalomania. And now what’s going to happen when Yasser Arafat kicks the bucket? Is all hell going to break lose in the Middle East?
Beautiful, (but deadly). Raptor animation. Where’d you get it?
