‘That’s some quality shit, son’

I was thinking of naming this post something like “Is that considered blog whoring?“… so that I could answer myself and say “Nope, that’s some quality blog whoring”. But then I just felt like using that catchy phrase for my post since I couldn’t remember where I heard it (Scary Movie Trilogy?)

Nevertheless, I just wanted to point out some long comments I made at some cool blogs I found while checking out my referrals.

First off, there’s this cool girl, Orchard Dirk who is on this super quest of finding new friends. The moment I read her blog, I got hooked and also decided to point out some similartities I’ve lived through.

Also, there’s this guy from Argentina called Fuser who is undergoing the whole set of existencial questions… the catch is that his blog is in Spanish. Not that Spanish is a bad thing, but most of you won’t be able to read my eloquent anwer.

  • I love me some existentialism, Rolando…too bad I don’t know Spanish. (Well, aside from mierda, which I think means “shit” & some stupid greetings, numbers, and colors.)

    Damned high school Spanish…

  • Lol, don’t worry Russ. I will gladly translate it so you can read it… Every once in a while it is nice to stop anything we’re doing and try to figure a reason for it all.

This guy, called Nicolás first said:

I realized that through this week I couldn’t think about anything else but her. Mainly about the search of life, what do we look for in it? Or better said: what should we be looking for? Could it be that we have to choose what we have in front? Do we have to accept it and not worry anymore? The truth is I don’t know, I would love to have an answer but I can only dare say it is all very complicated…Then I answered:
I cannot throw an answer that comes straight from my heart, or from a deep thought without seeming like a fool for not living up to the principles I’d like to say.

Why should I tell you to look for happiness and go anywhere your hert tells you to go? Who has such authority to tell you the woman you have right next to you wont make you as happy as any one you can find in another country?

I graduate at the end of this year as a Chemical Engineer. I’m a 20 year old dude,… I turn 21 in may. During this year, and pretty much for the last 6 months I’ve been learning much about myself and about life. I can’t say I know it all. As a matter of fact, I only know that for every rule there will be one or more exceptions.

In my opinion, what you look for in life is happiness. And there are a lot of forms of happiness. But… let me tell you that happiness is easily found, and that’s no secret. Now, I’ve been raised as a catholic all my life, but for some time now, I’ve been slacking and turning into an lax catholic. But that doesn’t mean I have forgotten the basic stuff: that in:
    * the natural law
    * the 10 commandments of the law of God
    * and the “11th commandment” (You must love your neighbor as yourself)
you will find happiness and wisdom.

In my case, I know that I’ll need to work hard to stay alive,… but I’ll live to love the woman I am lucky to call my wife.

  • that’s our language problem dude :-(

  • That is a sweet post that Nicolas has written, and I am happy that you translated for us people who have not had the pleasure of knowing the language of Spanish, which I deeply regret now, because I had no idea that it would come into such importance and meaning in my life, although it is a very popular language.

You are also very kind to say the thing you have said about me, and I don’t know if it is appropriate to comment on this or not, but I thought it was very nice of you to make reference to my blog, and it only goes to prove even moreso how there are really a lot of kind people in the world, and it is just a matter of finding them out and experiencing things with them–even if they do not live in the same residence as you.

I am sorry I did not see this sooner, only it appears that when I have tried to open this in the past, my computer would get stuck and freeze up, and it is quite a frustrating process for a girl like I, who doesn’t have a computer which never freezes.

And yes Orchid, a lot of people are out there that we wouldn’t expect to find out how nice they are.

But I think that the nice people we find every now and then make this world seem like a much happier place than it is.

Orchid, I hereby grant you until then a permission for not visitng my blog… lol.

But it’s only valid for 4 months. =)

  • Well, I shall only start my 4 month pass on not visiting your blog, when you decide to take a break from writing your blog for 4 months. Until then, I shall sift through slowly, but surely, and it is also the case that domain names have been on sale at yahoo for only $4 or so per name, but that might be over, and then there is the issue of web hosting, which is generally not a free one, which is something that people can have different opinions of.
