Chicken: The Next Source of Renewable Energy
Well, not precisely energy, but this article points out that keratin-based composites can be used instead of petroleum-based components, which are used in computer parts. Since the USA alone produces about 2.3 Teragrams of chicken feathers... a year, I think that is a pretty sustainable idea.
