Edgar Allan Poe – Censored?

Upon checking out the new books available, I started reading The Tell-Tale Heart, by Edgar Allan Poe.

I was impressed by the bad shape of the images, and by the censored segments in it:

I know, this isn’t exactly ‘censorship’. However, why on earth would someone paste a sheet of paper on a perfectly good book?
