  1. Taken hostage by my procrastinating self

April 19, 2005 by Rolando Garza

    Howdy ho!

Well, it’s been a while since I officially blogged. I’m trying out a new CMS (Content Management System), like WordPress… over at rolandog.swifthost.net. So far, so good.

I’ve been caught up by exams, and other stuff… but I’ll speak of the latter l8er.

On a positive aspect, I’m going to the Monterrey Metal Fest!!!

    ? Monterrey Metal Fest ?

This is a bit ironic, so bear with me. Unfortunately for me, Blogger automatically formats comments into with a markup language such as HTML, and using CAPITAL LETERS, so as you guessed, my ‘accessibility’ rating dropped from a super cool 10, to a lame 9.2. One of my readers, I’ll call her ‘deleted soul‘ =P, used the ‘i’ tag, and that caused a major mayhem in my quest for excellence. So I figured out the ‘bestest’ solution, and ‘baleted’ the comments from the permanent pages.

Ahh, how I miss being #12 in the Top Sitescores. If you guys can spare a vote, please do so over here

Ugh. I’m tired and sleepy. It’s best if I leave the rest of the updates for another day/week. =)

Hmm, I almost forgot to comment about this very important thing that filled me with joy: Flickr decided to give me a gift account for an extra year, with twice the previous allowed upload bandwidth… The second best part of it was that I got two Flickr Pro Invites. I invited Candy and Beto to join the Flickr Pro Ranks.

    sharing the love

I felt like I did a good deed. Just take a look at Beto’s happy face.

  2. The Incredible Webpage of a Weird Dude

March 23, 2005 by Rolando Garza

I’ve been looking to make an evolution from the humble “redible Journal of a Weird Dude” to the super fantastic “Incredible Webpage of a Weird Dude”. My first task was stripping Blogger out of this whole template and then making it XHTML 1.0 Transitional valid.

Oh, btw, have you tried downloading the internet? It sure is tough.

I think I’m going to make three versions of my blog. A mobile compatible version… a light version, and a heavy verion with all the stuff that you see right now on the interface.

I figured out how to make somewhat of a redirect for the three different types of users that’d visit my page. But I’d actually redirect them to only two places.

If it works, I’ll publish something about it here.
